For a game in development I'd also like to add samples. Could you help me out and share what you've used?
Hi, The scream is an 8-bit signed, uncompressed, wav format file. It is pulled into the game using beepFX from here (thanks to Shiru). BeepFX provides both the wav conversion and code to play the sample.
